(April 12, 2026) Beyond Words: Learning the Language of "Safety" in Japan

Happy Sunday! This is Vianne from Anhome.

As I ride my bicycle through the beautiful spring breeze of Izumisano, I am always practicing Japanese words in my head. Last week, I told you about how I learned to ride a bike. This week, I am tackling an even bigger challenge: the Japanese language barrier.

When I study for the JLPT N3, I realized that some of the most important words for "settling in Japan" are the ones you don't use in daily conversation.

1. More Than Just "Kirei" (Beautiful)

When I first started visiting house sites with Representative Yatsuka, I would look at a new home and say, "Kirei!" (It’s beautiful!).

But Takashi taught me that beauty is only the beginning. To help my friends from the Philippines or the US truly settle here, I need to understand words like Taishin (Earthquake Resistance) and Dannetsu (Insulation).

In our Long-Life Quality Housing (1-story and 2-story models by Hajime Construction), these aren't just difficult words, they are the "Invisible Strength" that protects your family. Even if your Japanese is not perfect yet, the government certification on these houses speaks a language of safety that everyone understands.

2. Helping You Navigate the "Difficult" Parts

I remember how scared I was to go to the convenience store alone. Now, imagine the fear of signing a contract for a house!

That is why I am working so hard on my N3 studies. I want to be the bridge that translates these "scary" legal and technical terms into simple English or Tagalog. When we look at a house together, I don't just check the kitchen; I check for the Long-Life certification because I want you to have a house that is an asset, not a burden.

3. Why Our "2-Minute Readers" Inspire Me

Our data shows that our readers in Japan spend almost 2 minutes reading this blog. This is so amazing! It means you are carefully studying your options for the future.

Whether you are a Japanese local or an international resident, your time is valuable. That’s why we provide "5-Star Hospitality" by giving you the honest truth. For example, we always explain that while 3-story homes are great for city life, they don't have the same specific Long-Life certification as the 2-story ones. We want you to choose with confidence!

4. Vianne’s Message: Stay Hungry for Your Dreams

My healing this week is listening to WINNER’ and SEVENTEEN's songs while I drink my favorite milk tea. It gives me the energy to keep pushing through the difficult kanji.

"Don't let your fears eat you." Even if the Japanese language feels like a huge wall, or the idea of buying a home feels impossible, remember: we are here to support you. Let's take it one pedal, and one word, at a time!

Let’s Bridge the Gap to Your New Home!

Do you have questions about the "Invisible Strength" of our houses? Or do you need someone to explain the home-buying process in a way that’s easy to understand?

Message for You (To Representative Yatsuka)

Representative, thank you for teaching me that being a real estate professional is about more than just selling. It’s about understanding the "logic" of the building.

Every time you explain the structure of a Long-Life Quality Home, my vocabulary grows—and so does my passion for helping our international neighbors! I will keep studying my N3 and my building codes to make Anhome the best bridge in Izumisano!

Have a peaceful and sun-filled Sunday! Salamat po! ✨
